Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines for using DentistNearMeDubai's dental clinic directory and booking platform (the "Platform"). This policy supplements our Terms of Use and applies to all users, including patients and dental clinic partners.
By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action.
2. General Conduct Standards
When using our Platform, you agree to:
- Act honestly and in good faith in all interactions
- Respect the rights, dignity, and privacy of other users and dental professionals
- Use the Platform only for its intended purpose of finding and booking dental services
- Comply with all applicable UAE laws and regulations
- Respect UAE cultural norms and Islamic values
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information
3. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use our Platform to:
3.1 Fraudulent or Deceptive Conduct
- Create accounts with false or misleading information
- Impersonate another person, dental professional, or entity
- Submit fake reviews or ratings
- Make bookings with no intention of attending appointments
- Manipulate ratings, reviews, or search rankings
- Engage in click fraud or artificial traffic generation
3.2 Harmful or Illegal Activities
- Violate UAE Federal Laws or any applicable international laws
- Engage in any activity that constitutes a criminal offense
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate dental clinic staff or other users
- Post content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred
- Solicit or facilitate illegal services or activities
- Engage in money laundering or financial fraud
3.3 Privacy and Data Violations
- Collect, harvest, or store personal information of other users without consent
- Share personal health information of others without authorization
- Use data obtained from the Platform for unauthorized marketing or spam
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or personal data
- Violate data protection laws including UAE PDPL and GDPR
3.4 Technical Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Platform systems or networks
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or overload our systems
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Platform software
- Circumvent security measures or access controls
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
3.5 Intellectual Property Infringement
- Upload content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or patents
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without authorization
- Copy or redistribute Platform content without permission
4. Content Guidelines
4.1 Reviews and Ratings
When posting reviews, you must:
- Base reviews on genuine personal experiences with the dental clinic
- Provide honest, accurate, and fair assessments
- Focus on relevant aspects of dental service quality, staff conduct, and facilities
- Avoid personal attacks on individual staff members
- Not accept compensation for writing positive or negative reviews
4.2 Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Defamatory Content: False statements that damage reputation
- Discriminatory Content: Content targeting individuals based on race, religion, nationality, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Offensive Content: Vulgar, obscene, or sexually explicit material
- Violent Content: Content promoting or glorifying violence
- Misleading Content: False claims about dental services or qualifications
- Spam: Repetitive, unsolicited, or promotional content
- Personal Information: Private information about others without consent
- Content violating UAE cultural norms: Material disrespectful to Islamic values or UAE customs
4.3 Medical Information Disclaimer
User-generated content does not constitute medical advice. Do not post content that:
- Provides specific medical diagnoses or treatment recommendations
- Encourages others to ignore professional dental advice
- Promotes unproven or dangerous dental treatments
- Makes false claims about dental procedures or outcomes
5. Booking Etiquette
To ensure a positive experience for all users:
- Only book appointments you genuinely intend to attend
- Provide accurate contact information for appointment confirmations
- Cancel or reschedule appointments with reasonable notice (minimum 24 hours when possible)
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
- Treat dental clinic staff with respect and courtesy
- Follow clinic policies regarding cancellations and rescheduling
No-Show Policy: Repeated no-shows (missing appointments without notice) may result in account restrictions or suspension. Clinics may also impose their own no-show policies and fees.
6. Communication Standards
When communicating through our Platform:
- Use respectful and professional language
- Keep communications relevant to dental services and appointments
- Do not send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited marketing
- Report inappropriate communications to our support team
- Do not share contact information for purposes outside the Platform
7. For Dental Clinic Partners
Dental clinics listed on our Platform must additionally:
- Maintain valid licensing and accreditation from UAE health authorities (MOHAP, DHA, DOH)
- Provide accurate information about services, qualifications, and pricing
- Respond to booking requests in a timely manner
- Honor appointments made through the Platform
- Maintain professional standards of care
- Protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Not manipulate reviews or ratings
- Report any compliance issues or patient complaints
8. Reporting Violations
If you encounter any violations of this AUP, please report them immediately:

When reporting, please provide as much detail as possible, including screenshots or evidence where available. All reports are reviewed confidentially.
9. Enforcement and Consequences
We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations of this AUP. Consequences may include:
- Warning: First-time or minor violations may result in a warning
- Content Removal: Removal of violating content without notice
- Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of account access
- Account Termination: Permanent removal from the Platform
- Legal Action: Serious violations may be reported to UAE authorities
The severity of consequences depends on the nature and frequency of violations. We may take immediate action without prior warning for serious violations.
10. Appeals Process
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by:

- Providing a clear explanation of why you believe the action was unjustified
- Including any relevant evidence or documentation
Appeals are reviewed by a separate team within 14 business days. Our decision on appeals is final.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or Platform features. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or via email. Your continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
